Bigger isn’t always better and this is proven by the Samsung LE26B450C4 LCD TV. All 26 of it’s inches are superbly crafted with everything you’ll ever need from a mid range mid size flat screen TV. We particularly like the colour enhancing technology. By lengthening luminance level and expanding the range of colour expression, the upgraded Wide Colour Enhancer technology completely covers the RGB spectrum, saturating images with intense, vivid colours closer to those perfected by nature. Sounds slightly baffling, but the results speak from themselves.

Are you stuck in the movie medieval days with your DVD player? If your love film and want to experience movies as they were intended then the Blu-ray is a must have! Finding the best Blu-ray player can be an uphill struggle, afterall the market is saturated with a few duds. That’s why our best Blu-ray guide is a must have.
Sony BDP-S350 Blu-Ray Player
You wont believe how much of a stir this Blu-Ray player caused last Christmas. Everyone needed to buy one and they regularly went out of stock across the UK. Even though slightly newer models have been released, they don’t compare to the Sony BDP-S350 and it’s many rave reviews.
It comes with everything you need in a Blu-Ray player: HD1080, 24P True Cinema, x.v Colour and Sony’s patented Bravia Sync. Bogged down by the jargon? Who cares as all you need to know is that this is one serious player, for a not too serious price. You can’t really argue against 130 positive customer reviews on Amazon.

Sony BDP-S360 Blu-Ray Player
Sony’s newest Blu-Ray player from their flagship range. Like it’s younger brother above the BDP-S360 is going to remind us why Sony pave the way in visual technology. Similarly, it comes with everything you need to get watching Blu-Ray with full access to 1080 HD output at 24 fps just like the film makers intended.
You get access to full cinematic quality viewings from the comfort of your home. With this release Sony have also placed more emphasis on the DB Live service which allows you to access exclusive online features.

Panasonic BD60EB Blu-Ray Player
The first in our selection of the best Blu-Ray players thats isn’t made by Sony. Don’t be fooled though, the Panasonic DB60EB seriously packs a punch that you can’t avoid. With a similar selection of must-have features that Blu-Ray discs are known for it also comes with Panasonic’s personal touches.
PHL Reference Chroma Plus Technology makes the picture as close to the actual film as possible whilst their P4HD technology recreates pixels in a visually stunning way. According to Panasonic their selection of Blu-Ray players are favoured by hollywood workers if that makes a difference in your buying decision.

Samsung BD-P1600 Blu-Ray Player
Coming in at a slightly cheaper price than any of the above players the Samsung BD-P1600 is a fairly practical entry level player that comes with most of the Blu-Ray features mentioned above. It definitely doesn’t have the style of the Sony players, or the features of the Panasonic but it most certainly is an excellent budget player.
Perhaps the best new feature with this model is it’s Fast Playback speeds. No more wasted seconds between inserting the Blu-Ray disc and getting the movie underway.

Samsung Omnia HD i8910
May 8, 2009 by robotics

The Samsung Omnia HD is a touch phone and from the looks of it, it is being positioned to compete with the Apple iPhone (the looks and functions are a dead giveaway). The Omnia HD has a touch sensitive screen that measures 3.7in, the resolution is 360 x 640 (at 720p). The phone is equipped with an 8 megapixel camera that possesses both face detection and smile detection. There’s even an anti blink mode, which basically prevents taking photos of people when their eyes are closed.
The Best Samsung Omnia HD Deals Are Available From: Mobiles
The Samsung Omnia HD is HSDPA compliant and can run up to 7.2 MB/s. It also has HSUPa and that reach up to 5.6 MB/s. The Omnia HD will be made available in both 8 GB and 16 GB internal capacities, but expansion won’t be a problem because it also has a Micro SD memory card slot, which means users can upgrade the memory up to 32 GBs. It will also have both Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity as well as USB port.
There are still no price points given for the phone but expect to see it in the market this year but expect it to be similarly priced to competitor handsets. One way of saving extra cash is to recycle your old mobile phone.
Samsung, B&O to partner in making new audiophile quality phone
February 10, 2009 by robotics

Bang & Olufsen has made a name for itself developing some of the best audio / video electronics equipment in the world. The great synthesis of style and performance has made B&O one of the top brands in terms of home entertainment. But the company is not going to rest on its laurels as it now attempts to conquer another market – mobile phones.
B&O is going to partner with Samsung (http://www.samsung.com/uk/) to make a new phone that will, if plans push through, will present users with top notch audio on their phones. Images of the phone in question, the M7600, is already available on the internet because of an information leak. Regarding the specs, the phone will definitely have a B&O amp inside and will also have a 2.8 inch AMOLED touchscreen. It will have native support for DivX, and will also have HSDPA and GPS. The built in camera is a 3 megapixels, a bit underpowered given the other specs especially since 5 megapixels are now considered the acceptable resolution and Samsung already has an 8 megapixel phone.
The Samsung / B&O M7600 will also have a quirkily named feature called the DJ feature. This will enable the user to record tracks, scratch and also add other audio effects. According to unconfirmed reports, the M7600 will debut in Europe sometime in May. Unfortunately there are no price announcements yet. But this does look like a good enough purchase, because of B&O’s involvement. But then, because of B&O, the M7600 will most likely be on the expensive side of the price spectrum.
Samsung goes DivX in 2009

Panasonic decided to include the ropey YouTube streaming capability in to new TV sets, Samsung go one better and include DivX decoding in their forthcoming TV sets.
The displays will be capable of playing DivX encoded files either directly via a built-in USB port or across an Ethernet connection, though there’s no sign of built-in wireless yet, which would surely be a good idea.
DivX CEO Kevin Hell says “As an innovator in the consumer electronics space, Samsung has already embraced DivX functionality in a wide variety of products and we’re pleased to extend our already strong relationship to the digital television category. DivX Certified digital televisions enable consumers to easily enjoy the high-quality content they create or discover on the PC in a true home theater environment.”
The question remains: why put the decoding in to the TV set rather than a dedicated box which could possibly be upgraded easier to decode more formats?
Samsung’s DivX compatible screens are expected to be available worldwide in early 2009.
