The HTC Desire might have been known as the HTC Bravo in the past, but now that the names is here to stay this handy little Google Nexus One competitor is here for good too.
Packing the latest Android 2.1 and a 3.7 inch AMOLED screen it’s credentials are apparent as soon as you see it or indeed read any of the many product blurbs out there. The 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor makes the phone incredibly responsive as you multitask from app to app without skipping a beat,
The biggst turn on with the Desire is it’s user interface which in our opinion is much more intuitive than the Nexus One equivalent. The HTC Desire simplifies the way that you tend to all of your social networks. With Friend Stream, your interaction with friends across multiple social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr are brought into a single easy to follow stream of updates, photo posts, and shared links.
Whether this angle is for you or not there is no escaping the power behind the HTC Desire. It is available to buy at the cheapest price here >>

LG Maxx Phone Now Official

The LG Maxx is now one more step along the process of being released as it’s now official, and if you’re wondering whether it will be a worthy successor to the LG Arena then things are looking good. As well as mobile TV and HD video playback, it packs the super-speedy Snapdragon processor, ready to blitz through your flicks on the go.
Even though the Maxx wasn’t spotted at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month, you can take our word that this phone is certain to be released – there are even some spy style shaky photos to prove it.
The LG Maxx packs a sharp 3.5-inch WVGA screen, a five megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and GPS, along with Qualcomm’s snappy chip, and a new bezel-heavy look.
Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on whether the LG Maxx will come to the UK, but it wouldn’t be like LG to drop a sequel to the Arena in one nation only.

New Twitter Phones – INQ Chat and INQ Mini

If you own and INQ1 mobile phone already then my heart goes out to you, as all the talk is about the new school varieties: the INQ Chat and the INQ Mini that are due to be released just in time for Christmas.
The original INQ1 social media phone is still pretty good, but one major flaw is that it doesn’t come loaded with Twitter, whilst the two new phones will….to top it off, the INQ1 will never have Twitter either.
Twitter is the major thing in common between the INQ Chat and the INQ Mini phones, but they are still sufficiently different to interest different users. As expected, the handsets now offer everyone’s favourite social networking tool of the moment along with those other staples of the previous INQ1 – Facebook, Skype and instant messaging. A great concoction for the web 2.0 generation. We have heard that the onboard Twitter app is always on after your first login meaning that every new Tweet is published on your home screen.
Specifically, the INQ Chat was developed in response to ‘consumer and operator demand’ for a QWERTY-style keypad device from INQ, offering a new email client that incorporates free push Gmail, along with an active address book showing ‘live status’ from all your contacts, letting you choose how to contact them. There’s also a built-in plug and play HSDPA modem, 2.4-inch QVGA TFT landscape display, 3.2-megapixel auto focus camera, GPS and up to 4GB of storage. The INQ Mini is a more slimline affair, packing in all those networking essentials, along with access to standard ‘IMAP’ email services like Hotmail and again offering that HSDPA modem option and up to 4GB of storage, along with a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT landscape display and a 2-megapixel snapper for a price that’s likely to be as small as the handset.
Detailed information on entry prices haven’t been released but since INQ take pride in producing affordable mobiles you can be sure that these won’t cost the earth.
Secret hands-free calling tech hinted at
February 10, 2009 by robotics

Mobile phone technology is fairly well established all over the world right now. It’s so normal to see people using mobile phones that you wouldn’t be surprised if you actually see them being used in the weirdest situations sometimes (I just saw a movie where a guy was stranded in the middle of the desert and yet he still had a mobile phone signal).
But what if new technologies regarding mobile phones are being developed right now to further “improve” how we use them?
This is what’s being claimed by a group of people who say they are currently developing a technology that will “revolutionise” the mobile phone industry. The exact details of the technology is still clouded in secrecy because the group doesn’t want to reveal much.
The technology claims to bring superbly accurate voice recognition that can be applied for use inside the car. The device is said to be a combination of both some sort of flat earpiece and a slim box that has manual phone controls.
The device, called the Zumba, is designed by Dean McEvoy, who is dyslexic. This is apparently the impetus for the technology as the tech now allows you to make text messages without typing or reading. You just need to speak on the headset to write the message or it can be read back to you.
The phonebook details and text messages are stored on a remote server along with other private data, which is a convenient solution in case the device gets lost or stolen.
For more information about how the device works, watch the video posted at the BBC website (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7859562.stm).
