Logitech Harmony 1000 – Touch Screen Universal Remote Control
What contemporary home would be complete without a touchscreen remote system? certainly not mine. The Logitech Harmony 1000 Universal Remote gets rid of the horrible looking remotes that come as standard with most appliances and replaces them with a cool brushed aluminium unit. It works with TVs, Consoles, Blu-Ray Players, DVD systems….the list is endless!
The Logitech Harmony 1000 comes with a brilliant 3.5-inch colour touch screen that allows for one-touch activity-based control of even the most sophisticated A/V components. Say goodbye to the inconvenience of multiple remotes controlling multiple devices; Logitech’s patented Smart State Technology makes it easy to control your HDTV, adjust aspect ratios, or change sound modes?
You don’t even have any horrible programming to do as it pretty much works out of the box. Just press an on-screen activity icon and Harmony does the rest. We seamlessly controlled 15 separate components with very little effort.
When we tested the remote we also used the Harmony RF Wireless Extender which also gives you the ability to hide components away to get rid of even more clutter.

Just think how long the standard mouse has been around for….ages. Finally Logitech have created the MX Revolution Wireless Laser Mouse to combat this ageing computer relic.
Available Cheapest From: Amazon >>
The Logitech MX Revolution Wireless Laser Mouse will change the way you work according to industry boffins. It’s Microgear Precision Scroll Wheel gives you the ability to navigate documents at speeds of Warp Factor 10, which is a useful symbol considering the futuriostic look of the mouse. There are loads of specific features on the MX Revolution that are tailored around fast and easy working and the quick flip thumb wheel is my favourite as it allows you to toggle between open documents. This is closely followed by the Search button that gives you the ability highlight words and phrases.
Looking for a cheap and futuristic laser mouse to make work easier? We dare you to find a better one than this.
Logitech DiNovo Edge Keyboard

I recently blogged about the Logitech MX Air Cordless Rechargeable Air Mouse and marveled at how perfect it is for a PC home theater setup. But if you’re really serious about making a home theater setup using a desktop PC as an all-in-one source then you should also consider getting the Logitech DiNovo wireless keyboard
The Logitech DiNovo Edge wireless Keyboard is perfectly designed for PC home theater applications. The DiNovo possesses some of the latest technology that could be fit into a keyboard that is ergonomical and designed to be slim. The Di Novo possesses the PerfectStroke key system that ensures that there is no slippage and makes every keystroke a precise input. The PerfectStroke System employs a micro scissors mechanism that ensures that the typing force is distributed evenly on the surface. The DiNovo is also no slouch in the looks department. It is manufactured using a laser cut process to cut a single piece of plexiglass. It also has a brushed aluminum frame to make it stand out more beautifully
The DiNovo employs Bluetooth wireless connectivity to communicate with the PC or your media centre PC. Battery life is not a problem because it has a built in Li-on battery that makes charging easy.
One good thing about the it is that it also has a built in “cursor control” in the form of the TouchDisc, which promises fast scrolling and perfect control of the cursor anytime.

If you’re as gadget compulsive as I am, I bet that your living room is literally littered with so many remote controls. A cursory look at my entertainment cabinet reveals that I have five remote controls in there and that doesn’t even include the remote for my A/C. It has gotten confusing to the point that only two people know how to operate all of the electronics equipment in my house – me and my four year old son (which I actually find cool. The fact that my son knows the sequence to opening the home theater AND choosing which channels to go to makes me so proud it brings tears to my eyes). My wife screams in frustration whenever she tries to watch DVDs and the only thing I can do is to help her… again and again.
That’s why I think universal learning remote controls are a great thing to have inside the gadget-filled home. It reduces the clutter in the entertainment cabinet and it eases the confusion somewhat because you only need to battle it out with one remote control. Unfortunately, universal remote controls that actually work are relatively expensive.
If you’re one of those people who also need some clarity in your entertainment systems by using a universal remote control then you’re in luck. Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk) is having a great promo on the Logitech Harmony One universal remote control. Logitech makes some of the best universal learning remote controls in the world. My friends actually swear by them. Use the promo code HARMONY4 when you check out and you’ll get a £25 discount, bringing the price down to just £60.
Hurry though because the promo is only until March 9.
Is The Logitech G13 Gameboard The Gamer’s Ultimate Fantasy?

Hardcore console gamers normally have one thing to say about PC gaming – the keyboard just does not cut it. Though this statement is a bone of contention for many, I do realise that playing a very exciting game that requires dexterity on the regular computer keyboard can be, well, a bit boring.
But what if someone came up with a keyboard that is especially designed for gaming? Apparently, Logitech has already done that with their G13 Gameboard. I do not think that the Gameboard is out in the market as of this writing but they have already unveiled the latest gadget borne out of countless years of trying to find the ultimate gamer’s keyboard fantasy.
On one hand, the Gameboard is similar to the regular keyboard. It does have keys and even looks a little like what you use everyday. But the similarity ends there. The Gameboard has its own joy stick that will allow you to do actions with the swivel of your thumb – much like the joy sticks on the PS3 and Xbox360 controllers. I do believe that this addition – which is one of many, actually – is going to be the main thing going for the Gameboard.
Despite its features, it might prove to be challenging for it to become the keyboard of choice for gamers, though. As Patrick Goss of Tech Radar puts it, “the G13 has two major challenges ahead of it, if it is to crack the mainstream – the first of which is to justify its not inconsiderable £74.99 price tag and the second is to convince gamers to back away from their keyboard in favour of something a little left-field.”
Would you pay that much for the Gameboard? I just might.
