Samsung has tech media all over the world, including us, jumping up and down with rumours of the Samsung Galaxy S3′s launch date.
Yesterday’s news headlines is a great example of just how eager everyone is to learn more about the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich phone from Samsung. First came the news of the supposed launch in France to be held in March 22. This came after FrAndroid revealed that Samsung had sent invites to the French media for a press conference, with no details whatsoever about what was to be covered on the said date. Of course, despite the fact that major Samsung mobile products are usually launched in New York, speculation on the event actually being the S3 launch immediately hit the Internet.
A few hours later saw the rumours dashed when CNET UK reported that Samsung told them that the event on the 22nd of March had nothing to do with the Galaxy S3. That leaves us still with no idea on when exactly the S3 launch will take place, or even what the media event in France will be about.
What we do know for certain though is that the launch will take place very close to the Galaxy S3′s release, which will both happen “within the first half of the year”. So no need to hold your breath too long. And no need to be too impatient because the S3 will indeed be here in a few months time. In the meantime, I guess we’ll be jumping with the rest of the world each time a new launch rumour comes out.
