LG-X120 : The 5-second turn on!

What do you do when a gadget “promises” to turn on in 5-seconds? If you ask me, I’d say I have to see that day! But LG electronics is saying you’d be turned on yourself if you see the LG X120. It’s a gorgeous little netbook with built in 3G, having a 160GB hard drive under the hood. It has a 3G HSPA connection.
The selling point is the “LG Smart ON” feature that gives you almost an instant access to your most used applications… 5-seconds baby(!) after you turn on the power
And while most netbook battery life is at an average of 2-3 hours, the LG X120 has a battery option that can give you 7 hours of operating time.
Other features, I think, would be the average webcam (1.3 mega pixels), USB ports and others. SRS WOW HD and TruSurround XT bring stereo effect sound to music and video. The screen’s LED Backlight delivers a high-resolution picture that is clearer and brighter, which is not only easier on tired eyes but saves energy, too.
The LG X120 Netbook features:
- 10-inch WSVGA screen
- 1.6GHz Atom processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 160GB hard drive
- Windows XP
- Splashtop based “LG Smart ON” feature
The LG X120 will be available in Europe some time in March with the rest of the world to follow some time later.

Wow! 5 seconds sounds great. I like the expanded battery option (claims 7 hr). Do you know if it’ll have a Windows OS option? I’m guessing it’ll be a slower start time for that (if it is offered).
