iWake Classic Style
While we’re on the topic of iPods, I thought I’d feature another accessory for this wonderful invention. Seriously, I think that one of the best – if not the best – measures of a gadget’s popularity is when other gadgets that serve as accessories crop up all over the place. And that is exactly what has happened to the iPod.
Remember the alarm clock that you used to have when you were a kid? The classic style – round with two knobs on top? That image holds fond memories for many of us today. With all the different kinds of alarm clocks you can find today, it is quite refreshing to see a modern gadget in the old style. And that is what the iPod alarm clock is.
It actually serves as a dock for any iPod. Shaped just like the alarm clock of old, there is a space in the middle for an iPod. You can then lie in your bed (or anywhere for that matter) at night (or anytime of the day if you wish), set the alarm, listen to Brahms Lullaby, and wake up to the sound of whatever song tickles your fancy.
The thing that I like about this alarm clock-iPod dock is that the space is adjustable such that it can accommodate even the dinosaur iPods. So if you have the older generation ones, there is no need to worry about the clock not being compatible!
Saving the best for last…how much is this going to cost you? A nice £39.10 at Paramount Zone. As of today, though, they say they’re out of stock.

The amount of accessories is a great measure of a gadget’s success, as is the variety. While there are many iPod clocks around, this “classic” design is eye-catching and striking in its simplicity. Very nice.
