   It was announched yesterday that PCWorld can no longer guarantee a delivery of Wii’s on launch date for any pre-orders placed after November 5th.

   HMV are still taking orders so must have a lot of stock due in. Lookin forward to mine next month!!!!!!!!!!!!

   PCWorld are also doing a £199 bundle with an additional Wiimote for people looking to play with somebody else! Get 10% off that too!

   HMV website now says

   *Limited Availability: Owing to a limited supply of consoles from Nintendo, we are unlikely to be able to fulfil any further orders before Christmas. We will, of course, endeavour to get your Wii console to you as soon as we receive additional shipments from the supplier, on a first-come, first-served basis.

   This seems to mean, no more available for Christmas. Is this right?

   Looks like there IS going to be a shortage supply in the UK. I went around 10 shops yesterday and of the ones that were actually getting some in on release day they were ALL pre-ordered.

   Online everyone’s stock has gone now, if you can see anything online I suggest you get it asap or you won’t be Wiing your pants on release day (or even for Christmas)

   Thanks for the comparisons – after looking at the various suppliers HMV do seem the best from the list. I rang them and they said they won’t take orders for stock they don’t have which is good (remembe the Xbox 360 fiasco) The 10% off voucher makes them the cheapest too.

   ebuyer claims stock levels are being replenished in 4 to 6 days, you might get one before crimbo if you place an order now maybe.

    In search of wii
    My search started in mid-october when my 10 year old son asked for a wii for Christmas. I knew from the start that I had to find him one because of the connection with my name. You see, my name is William Isaac Ishman with my initials being WII and my sons name being William Isaac Ishman the 2nd, WII 2. As a matter of fact my wife refers to us as wii 1 and wii 2. Every weekend in October and November my time was spent searching all stores in the city I live in, including walmart,toys r us, best buy,circuit city,comp USA and many others with no results. I spent hours standing in lines and even witnessed a fight in best buy, when two elderly men reached for the last wii. When December arrived I was about to tell my son that their would probably be no wii for Christmas this year, but first I wanted to give the online stores a try. I check all of the big box stores, always with the same results”out of stock”. I ended up checking a couple of the wii tracker sites, and their it was at amazon.com “in stock”. Amazon was selling the wii for $250.00 that morning. I immediately went to their site and purchased one.It was worth every penny just to see the look on my sons (wii 2) face Christmas morning. The wii trackers had really done the job for me.

    I just got mine free after i took out a mobile phone contract with O2 2 weeks ago. I only took out the contract for the Wii because this was the only place i could get it!

    Game have got some in but they are a package with 4 games so cost about 335.00

    Argos seem to have a few coming in every so often but they don’t show up online. Even customer services can’t tell you where they are. You have to go into a store and get them to check stock at the tills.

    there seems to be no where that has it in stock…
    the best way to get one is to Pre-order it
    may take upto a month
