The Sidekick II hit the UK today currently available exclusively on T-Mobile. The device has seen an increase in popularity in recent times due to certain celebrities owning them(and having them hacked)
The likes of Paris Hilton & Nicole Richie are some of the more famous people owning Sidekicks as initially Danger(the company behind the Sidekick) shoved the device into the hands of photographers, designers, artists, models and journalists.
Hank Nothhaft, the head of Danger said the device was not aimed at celebrity tarts but “tech savvy 18-34 year-olds who blog, post pictures online and use instant messaging”
According to figures gathered by Danger, 45% of those buying a Sidekick do so on the recommendation of a friend.
