Sega Announces NiGHTS For Wii

Sega have announced that NiGHTS : Journey Of Dreams is in development for Nintendo Wii and should be ready to hit shops by the 3rd quarter of 2007.
The game has roots way back in 1996 with its release on the Sega Saturn. But Sega and Nintendo are keen to point out that this isn’t simply a conversion of the old game for play on the Wii.
âWe plan to deliver a gameplay experience never before seen on the Wii with NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams,â said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. âThe game takes full advantage of the unique Wii Remote controller enabling gamers to guide NiGHTS through spectacularly designed dream worlds intertwined with a story about hope and courage.â
Players will take control of a fantasy court jester called NiGHTS. Taking full advantage of the motion controllers, players will guide NiGHTS through the magical and vibrant kingdom of Nightopia.
Expect lots of weird and wonderful gameplay and flying through the air.
