Designed by a French company named Massaud, the flying hotel, Manned Cloud, promises to zoom you around the globe in luxury…
…if you can afford it. Manned Cloud features 20 passenger bedrooms with terraces, a bar room, and a spa. The idea is to provide transportation which eliminates the need for stop-overs and hotel renting, and hence, less trash produced by tourism.
A spokesman for Massaud, AurÃlie Ullrich, said: “The idea at the heart of this project is that passengers can see fantastic places like Thailand and theCaribbean without the need to build ugly hotels everywhere.
The Manned Cloud can carry 40 passengers and 15 crew members. It is 700ft long, 270ft wide and 170ft deep. It can cross the United States without refuelling. The top speed of the Manned Cloud is 105mph and its cruising speed is 80mph: according to source, this means it can circle the globe in 10 days!
With the variety of amenities available on board and with its advanced features, we reckon passenger tickets won’t come cheap. You don’t have to be depressed about it yet though, because the Manned Cloud won’t be taking off until the year 2020. Plenty of time to save up.
