Companion Robot: All You Need to Do Is Point
How great is it if you can laze around and point at things you need all day, a servant bringing them all to you?
El-E (pronounced Ellie), a robot designed by Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology, can bring you anything you want while you compete for the Couch Potato Olympics. All you need to do is point a green laser at an object and El-E will bring it to you. Of course, this was developed for those with extreme case disabilities, but there are times when even those can function fully still want something like this anyway. Oh, and if you’re wondering, El-E came from “elephant” since the robot’s arm looks like an elephant’s trunk.
