Sharp launches Blu-ray equipped LCD TV

One of the surprising trends at the Consumer Electronics Show 2009 in Las Vegas USA is that not a lot of electronics manufacturers showed off any extra thin LCD TV models. With the drive for the thinnest possible gadget always a source of competition among manufacturers this was a trend that was quite noticeable at the exhibition floor.
The answer to the question though seems to be that manufacturers are fighting on a totally different front – integration. Many LCD Tv manufacturers have launched new LCD TVs that come with a built in Blu-ray player.
For example, Sharp (http://www.sharp.co.uk/) has launched new Aquos LCD TVs that have the built in Blu-ray player and are available in the 52 inch, 46 inch, 42 inch, 37 inch and 32 inch sizes. The player is a slot loading mechanism that can be found on the top right side of the panel. This obviously means that these TVs are noticeably thicker than conventional LCD TVs but the general consensus among exhibit goers is that the thickness is not too bothersome. Besides super slim LCD TVs are quite prohibitive in terms of price and the average bloke will not be able to afford them anyway.
The Sharp Aquos BD Series (that’s what the company calls them) will have instant on and shutdown features when a disc is inserted or removed from the player. The TVs are expected to become available this February and will probably range from between £668 to £1737. Availability in Europe has not yet been discussed though.

This is definitely not an other cheap lcd tv:) price between £668 to £1737.
Anyway it has Fantastic picture quality and resolution is very good. I like the on-screen menu it is very attractive.
But one thing which is little bit confusing me, i found that, the factory setting for yellow was a little too light, red was a bit dark, and switching HD modes was a tad slow.
Overall i must say it gets 8.5/10.
