Intel announces processor price cuts

Ever since I made my third PC upgrade, I have come to anticipate the announce price cuts from both Intel and AMD. I think I’m being a very wise and crafty consumer by waiting for these companies to announce these reductions before making any kind of upgrades. I think it’s just well informed decisions like this that should be encouraged at a time when there is a global financial crisis that they said will get worse this year.
Having said that I’d like to advise PC owners who are eyeing an upgrade to do so now, since Intel (http://www.intel.com) has announced that it is going to drop the prices of some of it products as a way of attracting more consumers during the crisis and also get rid of some excess stocks.
Intel said that it will be droiing the prices of five Intel Core 2 Quad models. The price drop will include the 3Ghz Q9850, that will now cost just £229, compare that to its recent price of £383. That’s a very signicand price drop if you ask me. Also included in the price cut is the 2.33Ghz Q8200, which has been cut from £140 to just £118.
Those who want to upgrade with the more affordable Celerons can do so with the Mobile Celeron 570, which now sells for just £51 from its previous price of £97. Other products in the Intel catalog will also reflect newly reduced prices but nothing as dramatic as the ones that were mentioned here.
