One of the first loves when it comes to gadgets was tinkering with desktop computers. I immediately fell in love with the various hardware that are attached to a desktop computer. I would constantly tinker with the cards and the memory. I made my first case mod (additional fans) with the second PC I bought and from there I became more adept with assembling and disassembling computers. I think that being a PC gamer has also contributed to my interest with hardware.
We all know that PC gaming is the most taxing and demanding on computer hardware. There is a constant need to upgrade and change components in order to meet or even surpass the constantly rising system requirements that new games issue. The higher the specs of your PC then the better it will perform and give you faster load times, no lag and of course amazing graphics.
The SAPPHIRE HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E clocks in at 850 Mhz for the core and 3.9 Mhz for the memory. Contrast this with the Sapphire HD 4870 512MB PCI-E
which was limited to just a 790 Mhz core clock. The 4890 has a 1 Ghz limit, which shows that it will have ample allowance for improvement when the final retail cards arrive. The improvement seems to be the result of the usage of the 40nm fabrication process. Previous cards used the 55nm process. A lower die size will also mean a lower price point, which is always a welcome piece of development especially during these tough economic times.

Most normal users wouldn’t need anything near a 1GB video card.
It’s always a smart move to get processing specs up for future innervation’s in the gaming and media world. A 1GB video card and fast LAN connections would definitely keep you covered for the likes of Wow etc, just hope you’ve got an auxiliary cooler though, lol.
