Tesla Roadster vs Shell – The fastest, the furthest and everything in between
June 4, 2009 by admin
Shell fuel helps Ferrari drive 320 km/h on an F1 circuit. But can Shell help a car drive over 3300 km across Europe on just one litre of fuel? Shell’s reputation in Formula 1 precedes them but they don’t just focus on race inspired fuel for performance cars, they also focus on the fuel efficiency market which often stirs up some debate. I know how much I love fast cars but with growing concern over environemntal impacts my conscience often leaves me perplexed about the future of the sportscar market.
Electric bikes are here

I really believe that electric powered vehicles are the wave of the future. We just really need to limit using fuel that damages the environment and besides it’s a limited resource so we don’t know when oil will run out. Electric power is clean and doesn’t damage the environment and I really welcome the constant development of electric vehicles in the market.
The future is here – taxis without drivers

One of my favourite Arnold Schwarzenegger movies was Total Recall. It was a straight out sci-fi action movie that dealt with one of my teenage fantasies – seeing a colony built on Mars. What struck me as one of the hallmarks of that futuristic world were the taxi transports that basically had only talking “dummies” that you communicated with. It was a definite sign that it was the future.

Honda’s Ecological Drive Assist System

I really like how ecologically sensitive car manufacturers are developing these days. Cars’ carbon footprint are huge that it makes great sense to develop cars that would actually help humans know how using it affects the environment. Honda is one prime example with their Ecological Drive Assist System (EDAS).
