…iPod that also functions as a bracelet! It’s an iBangle. The iBangle is the brain child of Indian designer Gopinath Prasan.
His idea is based on something very simple – build upon the sexiness of the newest iPods while at the same time retain their functionality. In addition to this, he wanted to create something totally different in order to give the iPod that edge that it just might need in the near future.
What does the iBangle have to offer the hordes of Apple fans all over the world? Take a look at that picture (thanks to CNET) and you will see that it takes on a stylishly modern look. Supposed to be made of aluminum, the iBangle has an inside cushion which inflates at a touch of a tiny blue button. This feature allows the bracelet to fit snugly over the wrist of whoever is wearing it.
One drawback to this nifty gadget is the fact that it has no room whatsoever for a visual interface. This is somehow offset by the voice interface feature, which allows the user to hear the tracks when scrolling through the playlists. And to further provide convenience, there are no wires attached to the iBangle. Instead, the earbuds communicate with the device through Bluetooth.
It’s a pretty cool device, isn’t it? It’s just a pity that the iBangle is merely a concept design. That is, there is no real evidence that Apple will ever create one of these babies. I am actually unsure as to how the general public will welcome the iBangle in case it ever becomes a reality. What say you? Would you pay for one?

What a great concept this is, I think that it would do well with the general public. It seems as though the iPod is becoming more and more popular and who doesn’t love a stylish bangle bracelet.
yeah, it is cool, why not a necklace for the ladies too?
